Pick-up and drop-off procedures: 2012-2013 School Year. As usual, you can find the approximate time the bus will be at your street by accessing the Street Bus Assignments Listing or Infofinder on our website www.swisd.net, by calling your school, or by calling the Transportation Department. The school bus is an extension of the classroom and all students are expected to follow the bus rules posted in each bus. Failure to follow the bus rules may result in removal of the student from bus transportation.
BUS RULES:
- Follow the driver’s directions at all times.
- Enter and leave the bus in an orderly manner at the designated stop.
- Keep feet, books, instrument cases, and other objects out of the aisle.
- Not deface the bus or its equipment.
- Not put head, hands, arms, or legs out of the window, or throw objects within or out of the bus.
- Not possess any weapons, tobacco or use any form of tobacco on the bus.
- Observe all usual classroom rules.
- Be seated while the bus is moving.
- Fasten seat belts, if available.
- Wait for driver’s signal upon leaving the bus before crossing in front of the bus.
The Street Bus Assignments Listing and Infofinder provide the approximate time the bus will be on your street. Please have your student at the nearest corner to your home or at the designated bus stop10 minutes prior to the indicated time. Students who live on country roads must be on the side of the road or at designated stops. Times may change during the first few days of school. Bus drivers will establish definite bus stops and definite pick-up and drop-off times for each bus stop depending on the actual number of students being transported.
Pre-K and Kinder students will be taken back to school if the parent/guardian is not at the bus stop to receive them.
Special Needs Students: The transportation department will be contacting each parent/guardian to arrange pick-up and drop-off times prior to the first day of classes.

Procedimientos para levantar y dejar estudiantes durante el año escolar 2012-2013.
Como es usual, usted puede encontrar el tiempo aproximado en que el autobús estará en su calle por medio del Listado de Asignacion de Autobús por Calle o en Infofinder disponible en el website del distrito. www.swisd.net, llamando a su escuela, o llamando al Departamento de Transportación. El autobús escolar es una extensión del salón de clases y se espera que los estudiantes cumplan con las reglas del autobús. Faltas a las reglas del autobús puede resultar en que el estudiante sea suspendido del transporte escolar.
REGLAMENTO DEL AUTOBUS:
- Seguir las instrucciones del chofer en todo momento.
- Abordar y bajar del autobús en la parada designada de manera ordenada.
- Mantener pies, libros, instrumentos, y otros objetos fuera del pasillo.
- No pintarrajear el autobús o sus partes.
- No poner cabeza, manos, brazos, pies fuera de la ventana o arrojar objetos dentro y fuera del autobús.
- No poseer ningún arma, tabaco o usar ninguna forma de tabaco en el autobús.
- Seguir el reglamento de conducta del salón de clases.
- Mantenerse sentado mientras el autobús este en marcha.
- Ponerse el cinturón de seguridad si el autobús esta equipado.
- Esperar la indicación del chofer antes de cruzar la calle enfrente del autobús.
El Listado de Asignación de autobús por calle y el Infofinder proveen el tiempo aproximado en que el autobús estará en su calle. Por favor, tenga a su estudiante en la esquina más cercana a su casa 10 minutos antes del tiempo indicado. Los estudiantes que viven en caminos rurales deben estar en la orilla del camino o en la parada designada. Los tiempos indicados pueden ser cambiados durante los primeros días de clase. Los choferes establecerán paradas y tiempos definidos dependiendo del número actual de estudiantes transportados.
Estudiantes de Pre-K and Kinder serán regresados a su escuela si no son recibidos en la parada por sus padres o tutores.
